createToken (v6)

The createToken operation is the first step in initiating a payment with DPO Pay by Network. It generates a secure payment token that represents a single checkout session.

You’ll use this token to:

Redirect the customer to the hosted DPO checkout page, or
Continue processing flows such as status checks or refunds.

Legacy note: Some fields and endpoints may still reference 3G Direct Pay (3G). This is the same platform, now branded as DPO Pay by Network.

Required XML Fields

`PaymentCurrency`	ISO currency (e.g., `ZAR`)

`ServiceType`	Provided by DPO during merchant onboarding.

PTL refers to the Payment Time Limit in hours (how long the payment token stays active before expiring). Default varies by merchant account.

Push Payments Callback

DPO may send automatic server-to-server notifications to a configured endpoint after a successful payment.

This push notification mechanism allows merchants to receive payment confirmation without relying on browser redirects.
